STOCKWELL, William Edward – 82, Richard’s Road, Lower Wedgeport, Yarmouth Co., passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at home. Born October 15, 1928 in Millinocket, Maine, he was a son of the late Carl and Freda (Curren) Stockwell. William served with the United States Navy, then worked for the US government until retirement. Later he also owned and operated Stockwell’s Pizza with his wife in Lincoln, Maine. Surviving are his wife, Shirley (Schroeder) Stockwell, as well his children, Mike (Susan) Hugunin, Tallahassee, FL; Mark Hugunin, Phoenix, AZ; Theresa (Gerald) Babin, Wedgeport; William (Elizabeth) Stockwell Jr., Miramar, FL; grandchildren, John Michael, Allison, Kathleen, William III, Brian & step grandchildren Colin & Julian. Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Carl Stockwell. Visitation took place from 7-9 Friday evening at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Wedgeport. A celebration of life took place from 1-4 p.m., Saturday, July 2 at the Yarmouth Lion’s Club. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or VON.
