CARD OF THANKS – EDITH NATHANSON
Garth, Sheila, Norine and Ian, along with their families, wish to extend heartfelt thanks to the many people who showed extended kindnesses to us over the past weeks. To the Doctors, Nurses and staff of Units 4A and the Palliative Care Unit at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, thank you for your kindness to our mother and your patience with us. Thank you to those who called, sent cards, flowers, emails, left comments on inmemoriam.ca, or sent gifts of food. In Mom’s honour, we greatly appreciate the charity donations made on her behalf. We felt heartwarming support and encouragement from those who visited during the traditional Jewish period of mourning – or ‘shiva’ – both here and in Toronto. A special thank you to the Congregation of the Temple Sons of Israel, the Chevrah Kadisha, Rabbi David Ellis and the staff of Sydney Memorial Chapel. Finally, Mom’s days as a resident of the CND Unit at the MacGillivray Guest Home were filled with activity, happiness and song. For this, we are deeply indebted to the Management and Staff of MacGillivray Guest Home and the Sisters of the Congregation of Notre Dame. We will remember you always for the joy you helped Edie achieve in her declining years.
