DOW, RODNEY ORA - (1948-2011) – Mr. Rodney O. Dow of Castalia, Grand Manan Island, NB passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital with his family by his side on Friday, July 1st, 2011. He was born in North Head the son of Ora L. and Myrtle A. (Bagley) Dow. Rodney was a heavy equipment operator for Dutchmen Contracting Ltd. He loved to spend time at Camp and in the woods hunting. Rodney is survived by his mother Mrs. Myrtle Dow of Seal Cove, his wife Mrs. Judith Dow of Castalia; two sons Rodney A. Dow( Carrie Jane Grover) and Scott E. Dow (Debbie) of St. Stephen, NB, one stepson Paul Savage of Campobello, NB; one Sister Nancy Howard (Douglas) of Kamloops, BC, five grandchildren, aunts, uncle, nieces and nephews. Rodney was predeceased by his father Ora Dow and one son Anthony N. Dow.
Visiting will be held from Ells Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral service will take place from the Seal Cove Baptist Church on Monday July 4th, 2011 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Peter Smith officiating. The interment will follow at the North Head Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Charlotte County Cancer or the charity of your choice.
