Hillside - James Thomas “Jamie” Murphy, age 54, of the Pictou Landing Road, Hillside, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2011 at home.
Born in New Glasgow, he was the son of the late Henry A. and Elizabeth C. (Williams) Murphy. He was a former employee of C.B. Hoare Auto Parts and Horton’s Esso. He enjoyed working in his greenhouse. He was a member of the Hillside/Trenton Environmental Watch Association.
He is survived by his wife: Marjorie (Underwood); son: Henry James, at home; several cousins. Cremation has taken place. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 pm Tuesday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, Trenton, from where funeral service will be held at 11 am Wednesday with Capt. Neil Abbott officiating. Family flowers only please.
