It is with great sadness the family announce the peaceful passing of Donnie Currie on June 29, 2011.
Born in New Waterford, he was the son of the late James and Lenora (Corbett) Currie. Donnie was a quiet and very kind person, always had a smile. He was a retiree from the Department of Highways.
He is survived by his son, Robert ‘Rob’ (companion, Kyle); grandchildren, Kevin and Dylan, Ontario; sisters, Mary (Bill) Stallard, Fredericton, Norma (Ernest) Hannigan, Scotchtown, Genny, Ball’s Creek; brothers, Ervin (Mary), Malcolm (Jan), both of Ontario and his companion, Marlene Boudreau.
Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by brothers, Elmer, Bernard and sisters, Theresa and Irene.
Cremation has taken place and a funeral mass to celebrate Donnie’s life will be held Wednesday, July 6 at 10 a.m. in the Parish of St. Leonard, Mount Carmel Avenue with Fr. Ray Huntley officiating. Burial to follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
