STANFORD, Ronald J.–Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Tuesday, November 18, 2008, Ronald J. Stanford, aged 87 years. (Well known Fisherman from the Battery). Leaving to mourn with fond memories his loving wife Stella; daughter Loretta Butler (Frank); two grandchildren: Frank and Leah Butler; brothers: Reginald (Ruby deceased) and George (Jenny); sisters: Dorothy Cole (James), Phyllis Corrigan (Albert deceased) and Helen Bugler (Clayton); also a number of nieces, nephews, a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, and then from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Thursday. Funeral service to be held from Barrett’s Chapel on Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
