FAHIE, CARL GREGORY - 1931-2011 - Carl Gregory Fahie, passed away at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital on July 2nd, 2011 following a lengthy illness. Carl was a Carmen in the CN shops starting in 1951 where he worked for 36 years until his retirement. An avid outdoorsman, he always enjoyed deer hunting in the fall and spending time at his hunting camp. Carl is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Gloria Marie (Bourque) Fahie; one daughter, Carolyn Landry (Steven); and one grandson, his pride and joy, Aaron Landry. Carl is also survived by his two brothers, Bernie Fahie (Eva), of Salisbury, and Nelson Fahie (Donna), of Ship Harbor, NS.
At Carl’s request there will be a private family viewing. Visitation will held at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Thursday, July 7th, from 1:00pm until the time of the funeral service at 2:00pm. The family will be receiving relatives and friends for a reception immediately following the service in the Garden View Reception Room. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Society.
