The death occurred at the Summerset Manor, Summerside, Monday, September 14, 2009 of Alyre Arsenault of Maple Plains, with his family at his side. Husband of the late Emma Arsenault (nee Enman). Dear father of Lorne, Kinkora; Norman (Helena) of Maplewood; Eldon (Darlene) of Angus, ON; Joan (Ronnie) Dunsford, ON; Jean (Boyd) of Maple Plains and Lloyd (Roma) of Kinkora. Also survived by 25 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. Survived by sister Lucille (Gordon) Cochrane, West Bank, B.C., and brother Alcide of Richmond as well as sisters-in-law Hazel Arsenault, Summerside and Bessie Bernard, Saint John, N.B. Predeceased by son Ralph, granddaughter Karen, and great-grandsons David Hughes and Connor Arsenault. Remains resting at the Lawless Funeral Home, 21 Somerset St., Kinkora. Visiting hours Thursday, September 17 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Friday, September 18, 2009 at St. Malachy’s Church at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in parish cemetery. Memorials in Alyre’s memory to St. Malachy’s Restoration Fund or a charity of your choice.
