
Earl Douglas "Dougie" Clark
CLARK, Earl Douglas “Dougie” – 77, passed away July 3, 2011 at Colchester Regional Hospital in Truro. Born April 14, 1934 in Great Village, he was a son of the late George and Thelma (Redden) Clark. He is survived by his three children, Nancy (Ron) Baillie, Bible Hill; Kelly Seeton, Harmony, Tim Clark (Shelley Chown), Kemptown. He is also survived by his former wife, Georgina Delaney, Truro; grandchildren Scott (Stephanie Beaton) Baillie, and Trevor Baillie, Amy and Sarah Seeton, Shelley’s son Michael, and his only great-grandchild, Drew Baillie; brothers, Walter (Edna), Lloyd (Carol), Brian (Cathy), Carl (Jackie), Robin, half brother Sandy; sisters, Marie Weatherbee and Linda (George) Boyce. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Ronnie, George-Neil, Gene, and 2 brothers in infancy. Dougie worked at the Nova Scotia Teachers College in Truro from 1976 – 1994 and at Ryan’s IGA Truro for many years. He loved horse races, and was an avid bowler. Dad always kept his sense of humor and enjoyed life. He especially loved his trips to Kingston with Walter and Edna. Cremation has taken place and no service by request. A celebration of Dad’s life will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6th at Colchester Community Funeral home 512 Willow Street, Truro NS. In lieu of flowers donation can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Special thanks go out to the staff of Townsview Estates, where Dad spent the last year of his life.
