Passed peacefully away on Friday, July 1, 2011 at the Glenbrook Lodge in her 98th year. Born in Greenspond of Captain Edward (Ned) and Ida Blackwood. Predeceased by her husband Harry Hawkins (1989); sisters: Pearl and Rita; brothers: John and Walter. Leaving to mourn daughters: Christine Tiller of Salmon Cove and Judith McGee Donnaud (Marvin) of Memphis, Tennessee; grandchildren: Janice Prince (Jeff) of Keswick, ON, Geoffrey Tiller (Stacey) of Mississauga, ON, and Micheal McGee (Karen) of Memphis, Tennessee; great-grandchildren: Ryan and Megan Prince, Jared McGee and sister Hazel Blackwood, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including her friends at the Glenbrook Lodge. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Tuesday, July 5th from 2-4 and 7-9. A private interment will follow. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 29, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. from Barrett’s Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Sadie’s memory to Gower Street United Memorial Fund.
