Passed peacefully away on July 4, 2011 at the Health Sciences Centre, Jacob Carl Hodder, aged 82 years. Predeceased by his first wife, Carrie (1994) and parents, Allan and Stella Hodder. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Ethel; brother, Ray (Verenia); Ethel’s children: Lynn (Bruce), Scott (Dale), Barry and Craig (Stella) as well as eight grandchildren; brothers-in-law: John Clarke (Katie) of Carbonear and Wayne Parsons (Kathy) and the Parsons family; also leaving to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jacob was a lifetime member of the Masonic Temple. At Jacob’s request cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from the Anglican Cathedral on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
