Jim was born in Sydney, Cape Breton Jan. 4, 1928, survived by his wife, Mae; daughter, Judy; son, Daniel (Dawn); grandchildren, James O’Callaghan (Jenn) and Fraser, Caitlin and Robbie MacKinnon; as well as his sisters, Margaret, Florence; his brothers, William and Walter.
He was predeceased by a sister, Murdena and brother, Victor.
The memorial service for Jim will be held at Grace Church, Orleans, Ont. www.graceorleans.ca today (Thursday), July 7, 2011 at 11 a.m.
He died suddenly at home on Monday, July 4, 2011, at the age of 83 of natural causes.
Jim was the clerk of Session of Bethel Church in Sydney for over 25 years. He loved his family dearly, his Saviour Jesus Christ and has finally received his promotion to glory. He has had his homecoming and no doubt heard from his Saviour “Howshegoin B’y”!
The family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Camp MacLeod www.pccweb.ca/campmacleod where Jim and Mae served in various capacities most of their lives.
