MOORE, Mahalla (Molly) (nee Ivany)– Entered peacefully into rest at Glenbrook Lodge on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at age 81. Molly was a former Salvation Army officer and educator. Molly is survived by her husband Sam, son Derrick (Lyn), granddaughters Captain Nancy Braye (Mark) and Kathryn Moore; great-granddaughter Hannah Braye; sister Charlotte Seymour; sister-in-law Florence Ivany; brothers: Ches Ivany (Bobbie) and Hubert Ivany (Yvonne) and a circle of relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Thursday, November 20, 2008 from 2 to 4:30 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. as well as Friday, November 21, 2008 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. A service of celebration will be held at the Salvation Army, St. John’s Temple Corps, on Torbay Road on Friday, November 21, 2008 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow in the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road. Donations of remembrance may be made to either the Salvation Army St. John’s Citadel Band or to the Parkinson’s Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.
