It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend, Beatrice Anderson, age 86, formerly of Beacon Crescent, North Sydney, on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at the Northside Community Guest Home surrounded by her loving family and extended family.
Born in Summerville, Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Esther (Compton) Humby.
Beatrice was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Dulcie (Lyle) Eady, and Myrtle (Eddie) MacDougall, both of North Sydney; by her grandchildren, Janice (Leo) Forrest and their children, Kiana, Kendra, Lee, North Sydney; Kim (Arnie) Verschuren and their children, Alecia, Mitchell, North Sydney; Lawrence (Tracey) Eady and their children, Samantha, Madilyn, Dartmouth; Karen (Rock) Ferland and their children, Samuel, Jeremy, Jacob, Branden, St. Jean, PQ; and also by her many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Alexander Anderson; her grandson, Stephen MacDougall, Brother, Naaman Humby and sisters, Elsie Carter, Martha Fudge.
Visitation for Beatrice will be 2 - 4 p.m. Monday in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney, with her funeral service to follow at 4 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with James Abbott officiating. Burial to follow in Lakeside Cemetery, North Sydney.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Northside Community Guest Home “Complete the Dream Campaign” or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
