SOPER, James Frederick – Of Mount Pearl, N.L., formerly of Carbonear, N.L. Passed peacefully away on November 18th, 2008 at the Health Sciences Centre, James Frederick Soper, age 86 years. Predeceased by parents G. Hubert and Mazie Soper; sisters: Iva (Ned) Harris, Flora (Hubert) Downton, Dorothea (Robert) Osborne and Ruby Soper (sister-in-law). Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted brother Rodney (Annie) Soper, niece Joanne (Lorne) Warren, St. John’s, nephew Robert (Nancy) Osborne and family, Rochester, NY, as well as a number of cousins and friends. Special family (Staff and owners of Pearl House and Hillcrest Estates). It is because of those gifted staff Jim’s quality of life remained stable. Cremation has already taken place. Visitation to take place at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Thursday, November 20th, 2008 from 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral service from Barrett’s Chapel, 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mount Pearl, on Friday, November 21st, 2008 at 12 noon.
