Mr. Thomas J. LeBlanc of RR1 Salmon River, Digby County, NS succumbed to heart failure on June 26, 2011 at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Yarmouth On March 16, 1924 to the late Bernard LeBlanc and Mildred (Giles) LeBlanc. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy (Allen) LeBlanc. His brothers, Lawrence, Mathew and William LeBlanc. He is survived by loving siblings Donald Leblanc, Dorothy (Leblanc) Hirtle, and Richard LeBlanc, all residing in Bridgewater, NS. Also sister Eleanor (LeBlanc) Dickens, of Griffen, Ga. USA and brother Alexander LeBlanc of Calgary, AB. He is survived by step children, multiple in laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. He spent many years with extended family of the late Bessy Pothier of Melbourne. In the Last year of his life he was cared for by his nephew William LeBlanc Jr., of RR1 Salmon River, Digby County., NS and Rosanne Comeau. He was a retired army veteran,. During his lengthy career which included being a Radio Communications officer during WW11. He served with pride and dignity. He also was in the civil service. He enjoyed his retirement taking long daily walks and socializing with the many friends he made along his life's journey. He expressed his wishes not to have a service or viewing. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. Rest in peace Tom.
