Carmie's family would like to express our sincere thanks and to acknowledge all family, friends and neighbours who so generously brought an abundance of food to our home, for all your calls, along with sympathy, mass and donation cards and flowers that we received during this most difficult time, thank you. A very special thank you to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Cancer Centre, to their staff and especially Dr. Ron MacCormick, Theresa MacArthur and Catherine Sheppard. You each have went above and beyond for Carmie over the past five years and we are most greatful for your compassion, care and concern for her during this time. We also would like to thank the ER staff at the Northside General for their vigilance in caring for Carmie, the 5th floor nursing staff who also went above and beyond to accommodate us, to Dr. Coish for his care and concern, to those who travelled to be with us, again, we cannot thank you enough. Thank you to Father Peter MacLeod and Father Robert MacNeil, long time friend of Carmie, for celebrating the Mass at St. Joseph's Church in Bras d'Or, to the servers, readers, Anita Anthony and Julianna Brennick, to the Choir, honorary pallbearers, the CWL for the wonderful lunch and last but not least, to the Francis Funeral Home, thank you. Finally, a special thank you to all who sat with the family at the hospital, you all know who you are without naming you all, your support during Carmie's last days will never be forgotten.
