LEGERE, EDWARD JOSEPH - The passing of Edward Legere of New Avon Road, occurred on Tuesday, July 12, 2011. Eddie was born on September 7th 1931 the son of Patrick and Emilie (Bastarache) Legere. Eddie was married to Ella (Langille) Legere for 53 years until her death in 2006. Together they raised eight children; three daughters: Lorraine Legere (Richard Brogan) of Flower’s Cove, Linda (Doug) Fasquel of Minto and Tammy Delorey (Robin Haley) of Saint John, five sons: Eric (Geraldine), Donnie (Kayla LeBlanc) and Tom (Jennifer) all of Minto, David (Kim) of Chipman, and Noel who passed away in 1995. Eddie is survived by three brothers Oliver (Elva) Legere, Amos Legere and Arthur Legere all of Minto. Eddie is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Mindy (Peter) Mawhinney, Brad Fasquel, Amanda (John Wayne) Reid, Micheal (Jennifer) Thompson, Mark (Eve Pedersen) Thompson, Chad Legere (Nicole Douglas), DJ Fasquel, Alex Legere, Amber Legere (Devon Hawkes), Brooke Hickey-Legere and Paige Hickey-Legere, and by great grand children: Mitchell Reid, Kayleigh Thompson, Michelle Thompson and Jacob Pedersen. Eddie was predeceased by his parents, his son Noel, his wife Ella, his sisters Annie Legere, Doreen Bourgeois and Emilia Girouard, and his brothers Rennie, Joe, Maxime, and Luke, son in law Danny Delorey and great grandson Kaleb Edward William Thompson.
Resting at Hogg Funeral Services (10 King Street, Minto, NB) with visiting on Wednesday evening from 7 to 9pm Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Thursday, July 14th, 2011 from Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Minto, NB Interment will take place in Saint Bridget’s Cemetery, Hardwood Ridge, NB.
