Passed peacefully away at Chancellor Park, on July 11, 2011, Matthew Brennock Colbert, of Bauline East, age 93. Predeceased by his wife, Amelia, his son Peter, and his three brothers: Joseph, John & Francis. Leaving to mourn, with fond and precious memories his five daughters: Ellen (Dennis Williams), Regina (John Mulcahy), Anne (Sebastian Mazzotta), Rose (Vince Carey) and Alicia (Rick Curran); his twelve grandchildren: Jeff, Amy, Lesley, Rebecca, Matthew, Peter, Melissa, Andrew, Michael, Benjamin, Elizabeth, and Alaxandra and his seven great-grandchildren: Avery, Lily, Kate, Oliver, Sam, Maggie and Liam. Also leaving to mourn Matt’s sisters: Rose Slaney, Marg Melvin and Marie Melvin, and a large circle of nieces and nephews, and wonderful friends. Resting at Ryan's Funeral Home, Bay Bulls on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 form 2:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, July 13 from 2:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated from St. Michael’s R.C. Church, St. Michael’s on Thursday, July 15 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Michael's R. C. Cemetery, St. Michaels. Donations may be made to the St. Michael’s Church Restoration Fund.
