Ross: Susan Mae, 91, of Truro and formerly of Bible Hill, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 17, 2009 in Wynn Park Villa Truro. Born in Truro she was a daughter of the late John and Blanche (MacIntyre) Pender. Susan was a former employee of the Lewis Shirt Factory Truro for approximately 3 years. She was an adherent of the Baptist Church and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by daughter, Elaine (Robert) MacCallum, Valley; son, John (Audrey) Ross, Truro; granddaughters, Donna, Cathy, Stacy; great grandchildren, Abbygail, Lucas; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Warren Elroy Ross; brothers, John, Douglas, Gerald; sister, Laura. By her request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family graveside service and interment will be held in the Crossroads Cemetery Valley with the Rev. Lori Ramsey officiating. No flowers by request. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street Truro.
