EMMET ROSS NELSON passed away suddenly September 16, 2009 with his family by his side at Cypress Regional Hospital, Swift Current following a short illness. Ross moved to Swift Current to be closer to his family on December 13, 2008 and on that day he replaced his “work clothes” with his “retirement clothes”. He was a very easy going man who loved his family, camping, rodeos, gardening, helping at and attending Central Lutheran Church. Ross was a member of the Scandinavian Club. He will be sadly missed by his daughters: Laurie (Bob) Paxman, Karen (Bill) Fewer, Alda (Gordon) Freitag, Hilda (Michael) Ferguson and Iola (Dan) Dumonceaux;son-in-law Lauren LaCoste, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 21, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at Central Lutheran Church, 27 Hochelaga St. W. with Reverend Doug Shepherd officiating. Interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery. For those so wishing, memorial donations may be made to Central Lutheran Church. In living memory of Emmet, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W.
