WOOD, MARY HELENA - On July 14th, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Mary Helena Wood, a lifelong resident of Oromocto, NB, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Born February 11th, 1930 in Oromocto, NB, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Marion (Hunter) White and wife of the late John H. Wood. Mary is survived by children, Wayne Wood (Lynne) of Oromocto, Nancy Wall (Barry) of Lakeville Corner, Larry Wood (Carol) of Douglas Harbour, Edwin Wood, George Wood (Wendy) of Oromocto, Janice Smith (Dave) of Oromocto and Patricia Davis (Jeff) of Kentville, NS; grandchildren, Arthur (Tanya), John, Jonathan (Kim), Nicholas (Rebecca), Whitney (Thomas), Jackson, Brayden, Hunter, Zachary, Zane, Ashley and Caitlyn; great-grandchildren, Gage, Brooklyn, Ava, Jacob and Ella; sisters-in-law, Joyce White and Joan McCumber as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary was predeceased by her parents; her husband, John and her brothers, Neil White and Alva McCumber.
Visitation will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home on Saturday, July 16th, 2011 from 7 to 9 pm and Sunday, July 17th, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held at the Oromocto United Church on Monday, July 18th, 2011 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Bob McDowell officiating. Interment will take place in the Burton Cemetery.
