It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Evelyn Elizabeth Harris . A loving Wife, Mother and Nana. Evelyn passed away Sunday, July 10th at 86 years of age.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Clifford (Robin) , Allan (Sandi), and daughter in law Waynne . Her brothers Bert, Jim, Ron and sisters Edie and Dorothy, and also her 7 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren. Mom will be sadly missed by her many nephews and nieces who were always there for her. Thank you
Predeceased by her husband Herb, son Edward, granddaughter Lonnie and her sister Doreen.
Mom was born in Salmon Arm, and moved to Vancouver at an early age. She met and married our dad, Herb, and started raising their family. They spent several years living in Savona and Kamloops, then retired to Vancouver, then making their final move back to Kamloops. Mom was a great cook, and baker. She was well known for her Sunday roast beef dinners, and there was always enough for anyone who happened to stop by.
Mom was a great friend to all that were lucky to know her. The family would like to thank all her friends at the Manor House for making her final years so much fun. The CNIB outings and the Savona luncheon group were also very special to her.
A Memorial for Evelyn will be held in the Schoenings Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, July 20th at 1:00 pm. Pastor Don Maione will be officiating.
