The death occurred peacefully on Sunday, July 17, 2011 at the Souris Hospital of Joe MacAulay, formerly of Bayfield in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of Norma (nee MacKinnon). Loving father of Nadine Paquet (René), Frank (Lori), Dave (Angel) and Mark (Michelle). Grampy Joe will fondly be remembered by grandchildren; Liam and Madeline Paquet, Parker and Tanner MacAulay, Travis, April, Dustin and Keisha MacAulay, Brady, Mitchell and Chandler MacAulay. Survived by brother; Peter (Berthe) MacAulay of Montreal and sisters; Helen Burke and Amelia (Frank) Deveau. Predeceased by wife Elizabeth Malone, brothers; John James, Charlie, Danny and Elmer, sisters; Mary Poole and Laura Taylor. Resting at the Dingwell Funeral Home in Souris for visiting hours on Tuesday, July 19, 2011, 2-4 and 7 -9 pm. and Wednesday morning 9 -10 a.m. Funeral to be held on Wednesday morning to St. Columba Roman Catholic Church in Fairfield for funeral mass to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery.
