Thomas Parsons of Badger’s Quay passed peacefully away at Brookfield Hospital on Thursday July 14th, 2011 at the age of 74 years. He was the son of Thomas and Mary Parsons of Indian Bay. In December, 1957 he became a Lay Reader. Thomas worked with Lundrigan’s for 29 years as a concrete foreman, he worked in Churchill Falls and help build the GBS Hibernia structure. He is predeceased by brothers Caleb, sister Josie, brother-in-law George. He leaves to mourn his wife (Jean), children; Roger (Sharon) Parsons, Zora (Cliff) Stagg, Roy (Bonnie) Parsons, Brian Parsons, and Tracey (Monty) Norris, grandchildren; Lee (Tracy), Kevin (Reena), Keith (Lisa Marie), Bradley (Natasha), Ryan (Katelyn), Skylair, Sheldon, Nowell, brother Winston, sisters; Shirley and Madeline predeceased by her husband Wilbur, Rebecca (Stanley), father in law- Charlie Janes Sr predeceased by wife Elizabeth and a large circle of nieces and nephews. Thomas will be greatly missed by a large circle of family and friends. Visitation was held at Sincerely Yours Funeral Home in New-Wes-Valley on Friday July 15, 2:00 to 4:00, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and Saturday, July 16 10:00 to 12:00, 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Rev. John E. K. Nicolle officiated the Funeral service at St. Alban’s Anglican Church Sunday, July 17 at 2:00 p.m. Followed by internment at the St. Alban’s Anglican Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jennifer Pender of Sincerely Yours Funeral Home.
