GOGUEN, SR MARIE-ROSE - Sister Marie-Rose Goguen, in religion, passed away on Sunday July 17, 2011, where she resided at the Résidence Maison-mère des Religieuses Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur, Moncton following a lengthy illness. She was 81 and in her 55th year of her religious profession. Born July 23, 1929 in Port Elgin, NB, she was the daughter of the late Alphée and Délia (Richard) Goguen. Besides her religious family, she is survived by five brothers: Ovila, Gérard, Valmont, Robert and Camille as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by one sister: Thérèse and three brothers: Laurie, Léo and Charles (infant).
Sister Marie-Rose will be resting at the Notre-Dame-d’Acadie Pavillion of the Maison-mère, 125 King St., Moncton (Godfrey Lane entrance) on Wednesday July 20, from 2 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday July 21, from 9 a.m. until the funeral mass. Solemn Vespers will be held on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday July 21, 2011 in the Maison-mère chapel at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Memramcook.
