(January 11, 1941-July 18, 2011)– Passed peacefully away surrounded by family and friends at the Dr. L.A. Miller Center on Monday, July 18, 2011 Bruce Simms, aged 70 years. Leaving to mourn are loving wife Marie (Brown); son Mark (Jackie); daughter Kelly (Paul); poppy’s little granddaughter Lyla; sister Bernice (Roy Smith); brothers Tom (Peggy) and Roy (Irene); aunts Stella Dawe, Olive Simms and Myrtle Simms; sisters-in-law Elsie Bradley, Charlotte Johnson and Gen (Ron Collins), brothers-in-law Fred (Jean), Gord (Vina), Reg (Rose), as well as many other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral service will be held from Barrett’s Chapel on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bruce’s memory to the Children's Wish Foundation or to a Charity of One's Choice.
