Tina Whitfield (Nee Reimer) passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 20, 2009 at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital. Tina, at the age of 89, predeceased by her beloved husband Ralph (1997). Tina was a loving mother to Margo Tutt (Don), Vince (Brenda) and Paula Messer (Lindsay); cherished grandmother of Darcie Cooper (Brian), Sara Watson (Kelly), Douglas (Dawn) Whitfield, Corina Whitfield (Dale), Wayde Messer (Sheena) and Megan Messer. She will be remembered by her great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Eric Cooper, Jake, Ben and Brady Watson, Kirt, Sara and Trent Whitfield, Tyrone and Savana Whitfield, Preston Messer and by her sister Freda Sheane, sister-in-law Levina Reimer, and by her brother-in-law Gerald Woodward. Tina was born in Plum Coulee Manitoba on January 11, 1920 to Henry and Tina Reimer. She met and married Ralph Whitfield on February 10, 1947 in Winnipeg, MB. The couple farmed in Manitoba, raising their family there until they moved to Briercrest, SK in 1967. Tina moved to Moose Jaw shortly after Ralph’s passing in 1997. She loved to garden and enjoyed needlework and crafts. She had been involved in the 4-H Clubs and the UCW in Briercrest, but mostly loved getting together with family for Sunday afternoon meals and family gatherings. A graveside service will be held at the Briercrest Cemetery on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Memorial donations to the Lung Association, or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
