April 8, 1926 - September 20, 2009. Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, September 20, 2009, James Welsh of Islington, aged 83 years. Leaving to mourn are his loving wife of 63 years, Flossie and seven children: Joyce (Winston Johnson), Rex, Larry (Peggy Wheeler), Bonnie (Jim Langer Jr.), Jim (Valerie), Suzanne (Jerry Welsh), Darrell (Kelly); thirteen grandchildren: Craig, Penny, Randy, Adam, Andrew, Terri-Lynn, Kelli, Samantha, Cassidy, Zachary, J.D. (James Dean), Jared and Caroline; two great-grandchildren: Allison and Sabrina; also lovingly remembered by brothers-in-law: Newton Bishop, Eli Bryant (Joan), Randy Bryant (Bride); as well as a number of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Resting at St. Matthew’s Church Hall, Islington on Tuesday, September 22nd, 1 p.m. until time of funeral. The funeral service will be held from St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, Heart’s Delight on Thursday, September 24th at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at St. Matthew’s Anglican Cemetery.
