BLACKBEARD, PATRICIA M. - 1930 - 2011 -
Patricia Mary Blackbeard of Stoney Creek passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, July 19th with her loving family by her side at the age of 81. Born in Woodside, NS, she was the daughter of Victor and Olga (Rooney) Bailey. Pat enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether it be camping or out on the boat, singing, a good game of darts with her friends, and most importantly was those cherished moments being a nanny to her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Tremblay of Moncton, sons, Geoff (Cheryl) of Moncton and Warren (Kimberley) of Sackville, son-in-law, Kevin Phillips of Riverview, a sister, Peggy Bowser of Musquodoboit, NS, eight grandchildren, Nicholas, Amy, Holly, Ryan, Andrew, Laura, Robert and Colin, a great grandchild, Marshal, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by a daughter, Joanne Phillips and several brothers and sisters.
The family will be receiving friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 White pine Road, Riverview (869-2007) on Sunday July 24th from 12:30 PM until the time of service at 2:00 PM, which will take place at the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Brent Ham officiating. The interment will take place in the Wilmot Cemetery. Donations to the IWK Children’s Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
