Clare “Yvonne” Pitt R.N.
BAYVIEW – It is with great sadness we share the passing of Yvonne at home on July 20, 2011.
Born in Sydney Mines, she was a daughter of the late Mark and Mary (Kennedy) Myler.
Survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Lyle “Louie” Pitt; two sons, John (Andria) and Pat; a daughter, Karen (Richard) Crouse, two grandchildren who are her pride and joy, Kerri Crouse and Greg Pitt; sister, Alice (Joe) MacDougall; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three brothers and five sisters, Alex (Ada) Myler, Cyril (Duna) Myler, George Myler, Ellen Nellie Myler, Bridget (Aaron) Beddow, Ann (Tony) Reilly, Catherine (Harry) Cleary, and Margaret (Bob) Osborne.
Yvonne was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and worked as a Registered Nurse. Like the profession she always looked after everyone around her, a generous, giving and caring person. Yvonne had a talent for any craft she tried, and spent hours making beautiful quilts, sweaters, paintings and other crafts for family and friends.
Personal thanks to Dr. Farrell, Palliative Care, and the VON for their help and support.
Arrangements made with McLaren Funeral Service, Pictou, with no visitation at Yvonne’s request. Private family burial at a later date in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Sydney.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Aberdeen Palliative Care Society, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
