Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Center, St. John’s, on Tuesday, September 22, 2009, Mr. Norman James Greenland of North River, aged 61 years, previously a resident of Calgary, Alberta for 31 years. Predeceased by his mother Grace (nee Ryan) Greenland and brother-in-law Roy Sparkes. Leaving to mourn and forever remembered by his wife Maureen (nee Snow) Greenland; father Mr. Cecil Greenland (102 years of age); daughters: Renee (Andy) Mouland, Shelley (Jason) Nichol, Stephanie (Aaron) Keller; sisters: Lillian (Ret’d Canon Wilson) Tibbo, Ada Sparkes, Elizabeth (Donald) Smith, Linda (Edwin) Holmes; seven grandchildren: Sarah, Abigail, Brianna, Evan, Payton, Hannah, Ryleigh; parents-in-law Doug and Mona Snow; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Moore’s Funeral Home, Clarke’s Beach. Visitation Wednesday 3 to 5 p.m., 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday 2 to 5 p.m., 7 to 9 p.m., Friday 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral service to take place on Friday, September 25, 2009 at 2 p.m. from St. George’s Anglican Church, North River. Cremation to follow. Inurnment at a later date.
