Passed peacefully away at her late residence, Bay Roberts on Monday, September 21, 2009, Mrs. Sadie Mercer, aged 80 years, of Bay Roberts. Predeceased by parents Benjamin and Keren-happuch Sturge (nee Kean); husband Lewis, son Lloyd, brothers and sisters. Leaving to mourn sons: Lewis (Janice), Mt. Pearl, Glenn (Maria), Coley’s Point, Darrell (Susan Petten) with whom she resided; daughters: Rosalind (Lawrence) Power, Mt. Pearl, Frances (Gerald) Sheppard, Spaniards Bay, Linda (Owen) Green, Bristol’s Hope, Louise (Calvin) Drover, Bay Roberts; daughter-in-law Peggy Mercer, Bay Roberts; sister-in-law Minnie Bishop, Coley’s Point; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Moore's Funeral Home, Bay Roberts. Visitation Tuesday 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday 2 to 5 p.m., 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at 2 p.m. from St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, Bay Roberts. Interment in the St. Matthew’s Anglican Cemetery, Bay Roberts.
