LEVI, PHILOMENE (née AUGUSTINE) - 1937-2011 - ELSIPOGTOG, NB – Philomene Levi 74, of Elsipogtog passed away after a brief illness at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Regional Hospital on July 21st, 2011. Born in Elsipogtog, she was the daughter of the late Basil Joe and Annie (Tennas) Augustine. Philomene was a very active member of Ste. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Elsipogtog. Philomene will be sadly missed by her loving husband; Albert Levi; her five daughters, Freda Levi, Anne Marie Levi (Dawn), Ruth Levi (Chaddie), Susan Levi-Peters (Fabien), Billie Jo Levi (Junior); her son Mike Levi (Shona); her ten grandchildren, Sharona Ward (Ryan), Levi Googoo, Malian Levi, Dusty Levi, John Albert Levi, Sammi Jo Levi, Jaime Carpenter, Reneisha Peters, Chayson Levi, Myka Levi; her five great grandchildren, Devonya, Emma, Cooper, Easton, Bella; her sister, Mary Jo Joseph (late Vincent); her brother, Peter Joe Augustine (Freda), as well as by several nieces and nephews. Other than her parents, Philomene is predeceased by her two brothers, John Joe Augustine, and Leo Joe Augustine, as well as her great grandson, Jaxon Denver Levi.
Philomene will be resting at her home (148 Main Street, Elsipogtog) beginning on Saturday at 2:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 25th, 2011 at 2:00 pm, St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Elsipogtog, and will be celebrated by Father Bernard Gauthier, and Father Curtis Sappier. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
