SHORT, Percy Bruce – Died suddenly at home in Portugal Cove- St. Philips on July 20, 2011, age 56 years. Predeceased by his father, Percy (2006). Leaving with fond and loving memories wife/soulmate Janet (Driscoll); son and "best friend" Stephen; mother Olive Short, Springdale, NL; special cousin David Peters, Brampton, Ont.; brother-in-law David Driscoll and his wife Dorothy, Cole Harbour, N.S.; extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, of both Mills and Short families; lifelong friends Barry and Dorothy Oxford, Grand Falls-Windsor; as well as his colleagues with the Science Branch of DFO, St. John’s. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Friday, July 22, 2011 from 11am-9pm, and on Saturday, July 23, 2011 from 9am-11am. Funeral service will take place at 2:30 pm on Saturday, July 23, 2011 from Memorial United Church, Portugal Cove, with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
