Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family on July 23, 2011 at the Hoyles-Escasoni Complex in her 74th year. Predeceased by her parents Brendan and Mabel Power; brother Bob; and nephews Brendan and Robert. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband Edward Sandeman; three children: Mike and Tina Philpott (Elizabeth and Victoria), Anne and Matt Brown (Liam and Katina) and Dan Philpott and Patti Power (Oliver and Lucy); brother Bren Power (Janet); sister Roz Smith (Wayne); sister-in-law Stella Power; Step children Margaret and Richard Tout (Helen and Jimmy), Wendy Sandeman and Tony (Denys, Alex, and Natalie) and Hamish and Andrea Sandeman (Charley); also Jim Philpott and a large extended family and many close friends. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Hoyles Home for their care and compassion over the past two years. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Rd, on Monday from 12 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at 11 a.m. from Mary Queen of Peace Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
