Eileen MacKenzie
NEW GLASGOW – Eileen (MacKay) MacKenzie, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009 in the Dartmouth General Hospital at the age of 91.
Born in Mill Brook, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Georgina (Watters) MacKay.
She is survived by her daughter, Gail (Bill) Inglis; son Brian (Gail); brothers, Tom and George MacKay; four grandchildren, five great-grandsons and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Alvin Neil MacKenzie; brother, Harold MacKay; and sister, Elda Hogg.
Eileen lived most of her life in Pictou County before moving to Porter’s Lake to be near her family. The last 16 months she was a resident at Parkland at the Lakes.
Visitation will be held Sunday, September 27th from 1-4 in Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Funeral service will be held in Eagles Funeral Home on Monday, September 28th at 11a.m. All are invited to a reception immediately following the service at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church Hall, Westville.
