McISAAC, H. David — 67, of Falmouth, Hants County, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2011, at his home. Born on January 19, 1944, in Windsor, Hants County, Nova Scotia, he was a son of the late John “Jack” and Ella (MacPhee) McIsaac. David was formerly employed for over 20 years with the Department of Transportation, retiring in 1994 as office supervisor at the Bedford office. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Windsor; a member of the Knights of Columbus and also former treasurer of St. Vincent dePaul Society. He was former CO of No. 106 Air Cadet Squadron, Windsor. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, the former Margaret “Margie” Rhynold; his children, Julia (Jared) McIsaac “Penney”, Bagotville, Que.; Jeffrey (Nathalie) McIsaac, Trenton, Ont.; Laura McIsaac (Gordon Raeside), Calgary, AB; Paul McIsaac, Halifax; six grandchildren; brothers, James “Jim” (Polly) McIsaac, Windsor; Vernon “Butch” (Irene) McIsaac, Falmouth; sisters-in-law, Dorothy McIsaac, Bedford; Mary McIsaac, Falmouth. Besides parents, John “Jack” and Ella (MacPhee) McIsaac; he was predeceased by his brothers, Jack and Robert “Bob” McIsaac. Cremation has taken place. The Knights of Columbus, Council 11526, held a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, in Lindsay`s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, followed by visitation until 9 p.m. A funeral mass was held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 14, 2011, in St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 339 King Street, Windsor. Rev. Father Michael J. Walsh officiated. Interment was in St. John’s Roman Catholic Parish Cemetery, Wiley Avenue, Windsor, followed by a reception at St. John’s Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of David were requested to be made to St. John’s Roman Catholic Church or to the QE II Foundation.
