DRISDELLE, RITA - Peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital Centre, following a lengthy illness, on Tuesday, July 26, 2011. She was the beloved wife of George Drisdelle and they resided at l’Oasis d’Or in Dieppe. Born August 25, 1928 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Rosaline (Richard) Gaudet. Rita was a retired school teacher with District 13, a member of S.E.R.F. and Le Mouvement des femmes Chrétiennes. She was an artist and also enjoyed her rock garden, writing, reading, and photography. Besides her beloved husband of 59 years, she is also survived by her three children: Roland (Maria) of Dieppe, Yvette Biddington (David) of Bedford, NS, and Anne-Marie Reid (Greg) of Beaverbank, NS; her two grandchildren: Luc and Matthew; two sisters: Marie and Rosaline Gaudet both of Moncton. She is predeceased by a daughter, Francine Blanche; two sisters: Albertine Boudreau and Louise Gaudet.
No visiting hours by request. The funeral mass will be celebrated at N-D-de-Grâce R.C. Church, 854 Mountain Road, Moncton, Thursday, July 28 at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
