NEW GLASGOW – We, the daughters of the late John Seward Livingstone, East River Manor, New Glasgow, formerly of Brother Street, share with you, our dad’s passing on Monday, July 25, 2011 in the Manor.
Born in New Glasgow, May 18, 1925, he was a son of the late George and Rachel (Rodgers) Livingstone.
Dad was employed as a motorman with the Canadian National Railway for 40 years. He was a member of St. George’s Anglican Church, New Glasgow, where he had served as Warden and on Parish Council.
Surviving are loving daughters, Dianne (Sandy) Kellock, Plymouth; Elizabeth “Liz” Dupuis, Westville; Andrea MacLeod, New Glasgow; dear grandchildren, Rand Kellock, Calgary, Alta.; Mary MacLeod, Salem; Melissa MacLeod, Antigonish; Jeanette (Brad) Rector, Westville; Rachel MacLeod, Toronto, Ont.; great-grandchildren, Riley and Lauren Kellock, and their mom, Tracy (Miller) Kellock, Merigomish; Micaela DeCoste, Antigonish; Joshua and Kyle Rector, Westville; brothers, David (Sharon) Livingstone, Plymouth; Robert (Lori) Livingstone, Thorburn; sisters, Elizabeth (Ernie) Majcan, Plymouth; Barbara (Vernon) Burns, Trenton; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife and one true love, June Agnes (Fraser) on September 1, 2010; oldest grandchild, Harley Kellock on November 14, 2009; brothers, Chesley and James “Jimmy”; son-in-law, Gordon MacLeod.
Our father requested no visitation and for a private graveside service to be held in Abercrombie Cemetery.
Donations may be made in our father’s memory to St. George’s Anglican Church, New Glasgow.
