Steeves, Robert “Bobby” J. - Robert “Bobby” J. Steeves, 56, of Fort McMurray, AB and formerly of Moncton and Saint John, passed away in Fort McMurray on Thursday, July 14, 2011. Born in Moncton, he was the son of MacKenzie “Mac” Steeves of Moncton and the late Beryl (McAloney) Steeves. Bobby was employed with Syncrude Canada Ltd., with 32 years service. He was an avid golfer and runner, loved his dogs and being involved with dog agility, socializing with his friends and spending precious time with his family. In addition to his father, Bobby will be sadly missed by his wife of 35 years, Cheryl; precious sons, James, Scott and Robin; sister, Betty Devlin (Roy) of Stoney Plain, AB; brothers, Burton (Susan), Saint John, Bruce (Carolyn), Strathmore, AB; mother-in-law, Reta Moore, Saint John; sister-in-law, Charlane Blizzard(Michael), Hampton; brothers-in-law Jack Moore (Sylvie), Ancaster, ON; Tim Moore (Connie), Saint John; several nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life Service for Bobby will be held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Tuesday August 2, 2011, 11:00 am, Rev. Dr. J. Richard Jackson officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery.
