CHURCHILL, Viola May – 101, of Villa St. Joseph du-Lac, formerly of Sandford, passed away in Yarmouth Regional Hospital on July 24, 2011. Born March 9, 1910, in Sandford, she was a daughter of the late Edmund and Louisa Churchill. Viola was a member of Sandford Wesleyan Church for over 80 years. She took care of the elderly people in her community and was very interested in missionary work within the church. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by sister-in-law, Ina Churchill, Overton. She was predeceased by brother, Vernon. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Yarmouth. There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held Friday, August 12 at 2 p.m. from Sandford Wesleyan Church with Rev. Perry Ingersoll officiating. Interment will follow in Darlings Lake Cemetery.
