Lieu de décès : Yarmouth, Nouvelle Ecosse, Canada
Date de décès : 23 juillet 2011

COOPER, Tom (Tommy) -60, passed away suddenly on July 23, 2011. Born in Yarmouth, he was the son of the late Roy T. Cooper and Ruby (Sweeney ) Cooper. A graduate of Acadia University and former employee of Maritime Tel & Tel, Tom lived life to fullest. As one dear friend stated – Tom had an ability to get out of trouble that was un-paralleled. He was a cat that had used up his 9 lives before he was 30, and was working on the next 9 when life caught up with him. When you met Tom, you were an immediate friend and he would remember you forever. This is why he could count a lot of policemen as friends. Tom was an avid sailor and world traveller. With his beloved wife Judy at his side, they sailed for two years- sailing as far as South America. Tom could put his hand to anything and loved working on his cars and motorcycles-owning more than his fair share of both over the years. The most important in Toms life was his love of friends, which he had in spades. He will be sorely missed by loving wife Judy. Tom was pre-deceased by his parents Ruby & Roy Cooper and his nephew Timothy Jason Crocker. He is survived by his wife Judy Penny-Cooper, sisters: Paula Churchill (Roger), Donna Crocker (David), brother G. Shawn Cooper. Sister-in-law Diane Penny (Mario), brother-in-law Keir Penny (Rhonda). Nephews, Dr. Sandy Crocker, A. Evan Crocker, Mark Rhymes, and niece Rachel Rhymes. An Irish wake for family and friends was held in celebration of Tom’s life on Thursday, July 28, 4 pm- at St. Marys Boat Club, 1641 Fairfield Rd., Halifax, NS. Family flowers only- in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Feed Nova Scotia. He will be forever missed.
