ROMAINE, Mildred Hortense – 95, Villa St. Joseph-du-Lac, Dayton, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2011 in the Villa. Born January 24, 1916 in Pinkney’s Point, she was a daughter of the late Camille and Evelina Boudreau. Mildred was a homemaker, and she is survived by three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and sisters, Blanche Tremea, Yarmouth, and Marjorie (Anthony) Babin, Sluice Point. Aside from her parents, Mildred was predeceased by her husband, Eliser Romaine, as well as by their only son, Bruce Romaine; a sister, Kay Jacquard and brothers, Edward, in infancy and Harold Boudreau. Visitation took place from 7-9 Tuesday evening at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. The funeral mass was held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 27 from Saint Ambrose Cathedral, Yarmouth, Father John MacPherson officiated. Interment took place in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery. It was requested that there be family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to Villa St. Joseph-du-Lac or to the Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia.
