It is with great sadness that the families of the late John Michael (Mitch) Brisson announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, in Corner Brook, NL, on Wednesday, July 27th, 2011 at the age of 71 years after a lengthy battle with cancer. He will be fondly remembered by his loving wife: Hyacinth (nee Brake), daughters: Tonya (Stephen Brake) and Danica, sons Steven (Cathy Penney) and Jason. He will be sadly missed by brother Pete (Edith) of Montreal and sisters: Mary-Francis & Suzanne (Maureen Kelly) of Toronto, grandchildren: Stephanie, Sarah, Kyleigh, Cassidy, Ella and Alexander, brothers & sisters-in-law, & many nieces, nephews, special friends: Geoff & Marelene Rayner-Canham, Jim Greenlee, Rick Solo & Alf Strickland. He is predeceased by his daughter Kimberly and parents: Jean-Louis & Norah E. Brisson and father & mother-in-law Jack & Rita Brake. There is no visitation at (Mitch's) request. Cremation has taken place and a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place at the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church in Pasadena on Saturday, July 30th, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. with Father Gordon Grace officiating with the burial to follow at the church cemetery in Pasadena, NL. In lieu of flowers donations in (Mitch's) memory may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation.
