Matheson
Thelma Matheson, Age 74 of Waverly, N.S., passed away July 21, 2011 after a battle with cancer. Born June 22, 1937 in Milo, P.E.I., she was the daughter of the late William and Velda (Silliker) MacDonald. Thelma is survived by her sons: Reagh (Nimira) Cornish, Burlington, Ont.; David (Janice) Cornish, Waverly, N.S., Daughter: Sharon (Kelly) Dunn, Elmsdale, N.S. Sisters: Edith (Bryan) Wright, Fernie, B.C., Fern Williams and Joyce MacDonald, both in Barrie, Ont., Brother: Donnie (Rosemary) MacDonald,P.E.I., five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Predeceased by her husband, Elmo; brothers: Stanley, Ken and sister: Phyllis. Cremation has taken place. A funeral service was held at the Port Wallace United Church, Dartmouth on Tuesday, July 26. Burial in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit, Victoria General Hospital.
