At his late residence on May 8, 2011, of V. Carl Murphy of Sea View, aged 73 years.
Born in Sea View, May 20, 1937, son of the late G. Edwin and Glenn B. (Campbell) Murphy. Husband of Janet H. (MacRae) Murphy. Father of Carla J. Lewis, Victoria, British Columbia; G. Edwin Murphy, Calgary, Alberta; and Lisa R. Murphy (Darryl Poyner) Park Corner, P.E.I. Loving grandfather to Matthew, Dylan, Nicholas, Sean, Brieann and Ireland, Calgary, Alberta. Brother of Lloyd (Winnie) Murphy, St. Patricks Road; Rita (Fred) MacAusland, Sea View; Helen (Dale) Muttart, Miscouche; Sylvia (David) Kiff, Kensington; Georgia (Walter) Scott, Hamilton, Ontario; Heather (Neil) Moore, Saskatoon and Glenda Murphy, Kensington. Brother-in-law of Isabelle Picketts, Joan (Vernon) Simpson, Clifford Picketts and Barbara MacRae. Predeceased by his sister Lois Murphy.
A memorial service will be held at St. Thomas Anglican Church, Spring Brook, on Wednesday, August 3, at 2 p.m. Following the service, a reception will be held in the church hall.
