The death occurred at Mount St. Mary’s on Saturday, September 26, 2009, of Sr. Florence Burke (Sr. Mary Leonard), Sister of the Congregation of St. Martha, age 95 years. Dear sister of Bernice Helena (Lal) Davis. Sr. Burke was predeceased by her parents Peter A. and Gertrude M. (Aylward) Burke; her sisters Mary Irene Cameron and Myrtle Gertrude Foley and her brother Leonard Burke. Transferred from the Hennessey Funeral Home to the parlour of Mount St. Mary’s for visiting hours on Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral will be held on Tuesday with funeral mass from the Mount St. Mary’s Chapel at 3 p.m. Interment will follow in Mount St. Mary’s Congregation Cemetery.
