Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, July 29, 2011, of Mrs. Mary Theresa Burke (nee MacDonald) of Parkdale in her 80th year. Beloved wife of the late Vernon Burke and dear mother of Ernie (Sue), Theresa (Melvin) Baker, John (Debbie) and Donna Burke. Loving nanny to seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She is also lovingly remembered by her sister Erilda Hopkinson and brother Gary (Judy) MacDonald. She was predeceased by her parents Frederick and Lucy May MacDonald, brothers Lloyd, Anthony, Wallace, Billy and sister Mayme.
Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 9:45 on Tuesday morning, then transferred to St. Pius X Church, Charlottetown for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visiting hours will be held on Monday 6-9 p.m. Due to severe allergies please refrain from wearing scents or perfumes.
