Passed away on July 30, 2011 after a brave battle against a lengthy illness, Rodney James Samson, at age 38. Predeceased by his parents Reginald and Elizabeth Samson. Leaving to mourn his best friend Jennifer Colford and their children Grace, 2 years and 9 months, and Jack, 7 months; his siblings: Linda (Bill) Callahan, Regina Samson (Ross Maybee), Christine Samson (Ivan Jenkins), Brenda (Steve) McCormick, Reginald Jr. (Sherry) Samson, Renee Samson (Mike Whelan). Rodney will be terribly missed by the Colford Family of which he has been a part of for many years. Rodney also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and godchildren. Rodney is resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mt. Pearl on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Service to follow in the Chapel at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at a later date. Special thanks to Dr. Neil Young, nurses Jewel and Robin, and unit social worker Karen.
